Our Little Sui collection is all about giving our little ones a safe, comfortable, natural cotton clothing option, and helping them also start creating connections with clothing and nature–a way to bring the beauty of the world outside closer to them so that they can find appreciation for it at an early age!
And so with our newest Summer collection, we bring you organic cotton kidswear, from natural cotton clothing to sustainable dresses, rooted and inspired by our ocean story.
The Little Sui Story
Little Sui began as a passion project about 3 years ago now as Mahima was experiencing becoming a mum for the first time, raising her daughter, and realising she wanted to create organic babywear, basically, a sustainable clothing option for her.
“These past couple years, it’s been a joy to create pieces for my daughter, Sanaa, using Sui fabrics and designs. It all began as a simple experiment and a curiosity to see my little one in some of our beautiful prints and shades - and, of course, the fact that these fabrics are super safe on the skin with it all being organic and consciously made, played a big factor in creating the pieces in the first place! However, I didn’t really think it would result in planning a capsule for kids - but I’m so glad we did!” – Mahima Gujral, founder of Sui
The idea grew and we started realising that other parents would also want a conscious option, a chance to give their kids organic kidswear, and so our first Little Sui edition was launched in August 2024, all crafted in our summer 2024 fabrics.
Not long after in December 2024, we launched our second edition crafted in our Winter 2024 fabrics–we also decided to have a photoshoot with mother and daughter duos to bring some extra sweetness to the shoot and show how lovely the fabrics looked on both of them.
This also helped our Little Sui story grow as we realised we wanted to highlight all the little everyday moments we cherish with our children, showing how our pieces support mum and child whether they’re relaxing at home or playing outside.
And these notions carried over to our latest summer edition of Little Sui.
All crafted in our Summer 2025 fabrics and prints, we introduced a few new things like a fresh print just for the kids, as well as unisex pieces!
The craft behind our little looks
As mentioned, all our Little Sui pieces are crafted in our summer fabrics, meaning the conscious fabrics we love to wear daily, that highlight the beauty of nature, now get to bring your little one green heart joy!
All our pieces are crafted in some form of organic cotton–that means absolutely no pesticides or insecticides were used in the production process, making it a far safer fabric to wear than conventional cottons.
We’ve crafted some of our silhouettes in handspun and handwoven organic cotton, created with the help of NGO WomenWeave, and Kala cotton, created with the help of Khamir Crafts and Karghewale–and we particularly love these fabrics because, first, no electricity is needed to convert it from fibre to fabric, and second, the fabrics are soft and super durable, pieces you can certainly pass on in the future, or upcycled into something new!
Each piece is either embroidery, printed, or has interwoven, ocean-inspired motifs embellishing it, which is our way of passing on our love for nature to our kids.
Why choose green for your kids?
The answer is pretty simple, because slow fashion is better and safer for them to wear than fast fashion–especially in the long term.
What we put on our skin affects our health ultimately, so we want to be able to provide parents with organic babywear we know is far safer than what typical fast fashion brands provide. In fact, organic clothing brands as a whole will always prioritise the safer, more sustainable option so that less chemicals surround and are on us!
With our pieces:
- There are no pesticides or insecticides involved in our process.
- We only use natural fibre, as in no chemicals are involved in their making.
- We only use azo-free dyes that are safer than synthetic dyes commonly used in fast fashion.
- Every piece is cared for by hand, by artisans, by workers, by dyers, who have the same conscious values.
And with all that in mind, we also hope that by giving our children something consciously made, they too grow up with that appreciation, and pass it on, again and again.
So, choose organic clothing brands and organic cotton kidswear, whether that’s natural cotton clothing, sustainable dresses, or zero-waste outfits, because it all makes a difference in the end, to our own health, and the planet’s.
