Our story began back in 2016, when our founder, Mahima, learnt about the impact of the fashion industry. While studying in Italy a country known for it’s fashion industry, Mahima found a disconnect between the beautiful craft Italy is known for and how, within the big cities, consumerism was at its maximum.

We wanted to be part of the change.

It began with a little thought and a motivation to better our relationship with clothing. Soon we realized that there was a need to create conscious clothing that is relatable yet told a strong story.

Each chapter at SUI features wearable classics designed and crafted consciously right from the start by using clean design practices, sustainable fabrics, herbal dyes, artisan made methods and a slow production model.

We chose to go slow, because slow is beneficial to us and our planet. We started to make this more relatable. We believe slow fashion can easily become a part of our lives, all it takes is that one step forward.
