Below is our quick guide to fabric care, to help you look after your SUI garments : 


HANDMADE FABRICS

Kala cotton, Handspun Handwoven Organic cotton,Silk, Jamdani 

  • Hand wash at room temperature 
  • Kala cotton can be machine washed on a gentle cycle 
  • Do not machine wash 
  • Do not bleach or scrub 
  • Dark colors may bleed, so wash alone for its first wash then with similar colors 
  • Dry away from direct sunlight 
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Line dry
  • Iron warm in reverse 
  • Dry clean only if necessary
  •  

    MACHINE MADE FABRICS

    Tencel, Organic Cotton, Knits, Hemp

  • Hand wash separately at room temperature or machine wash in gentle cycle 
  • Use mild detergents only
  • Do not bleach or scrub 
  • Dark colors may bleed, so wash alone for its first wash then with similar colors 
  • Tumble dry on low heat setting or Line Dry 
  • Iron warm in reverse 
  • Dry clean only if necessary

    Our fabrics are also often a times crafted with plant based dyes or block prints, here is the additional care for the same :  

    IF HERBAL DYED

  • Avoid all contact with citric content substances
  • Wash separately first, and then wash with similar colors 
  • Dry away from direct sunlight 
  •  

    IF HAND PRINTED / AZO FREE DYED 

  • Wash separately first, and then wash with similar colors
